Aging Activisms: Ripples, Reverberations, Reworldings

An Aging Activisms art installation at the Peterborough Public Library from October 18th to December 16th, 2023. This ode to ten years of Aging Activisms spanned both floors of the library and featured art and media capsules from community workshops over the years. This installation showcased a decade of community connection and courageous imaginings through research.

Intergenerational Crafternoon- November 2023

At this public event in November 2023, we joined forces with the Youth Climate Action Club (YCAC) to host a winter clothing drive for One City Peterborough and bring together an intergenerational group for an afternoon of collage making and vision boarding. We shared tea, snacks, and celebrated our art installation with the wider community. Thank you to all, young and old, who shared our space and dreamt about socially just futures through art-making!

We co-created this banner at our crafternoon and cabaret events in November 2023, anchored by the Odenabe, participants' images represent their visions of the future in Nogojiwanong.

As a part of our library installation, we created a wall of sticky-notes, with the prompt, "can you imagine a beautiful, socially just, liveable future?" We received hundreds of thoughtful, silly, and loving responses from our community.
