#TogetherWeRise

A deep spirit of resistance, togetherness, and hope was felt around the world today. Some of our team got to march in Toronto this afternoon, alongside some 60,000 fierce social changers... babies through to centenarians.

We think these words from Digging Roots are worth sitting with as we all try to hold on to that feeling and continue working and living for change:

"We are all the women that came before and are yet unborn. We are connected to our ancestors through our womb... through our blood that flows and gives life. Our bodies a ceremony of creation.

Here's to the courageous, strong, powerful, brilliant, humble, beautiful, honest, revolutionary women in our lives. The women who rise with dignity and lead with integrity. Those who inspire us, feed our spirit, shield us from the cold, school us, believe in us, empower us, call us on our shit, lift up our gifts, help us forgive our failings. You are an unstoppable force of nature. Chi Miigwetch for walking with me... standing with me. Today I honour you. I honour my own journey as Anishinabekwe. I honour all my ogitchidaakwe sisters and I remember all our daughters, many who have fallen, who are lost, who have endured violence, who have suffered and continue to suffer in the shadows of oppression, fear, ignorance and hate. I am with you today. I am with you everyday. Together we rise and then rise again. #womenrising #togetherwerise #MMIW #MMIG #fightlikeagirl #love #unity #hope #peace "

And have a look at some of the marches that took place on every continent.
